Thanks for taking this on! I'm afraid I don't have any previous Yuletide requests you can refer to, but feel free to poke around this journal for some examples of my own fic. I realize it's all in fandoms (oh, all right, a fandom) you can't use, though, so here's a general summary of my likes and dislikes:

At least, I hope it is, because I'm afraid I'm a very difficult recipient to stalk: I try to keep my (friends-only) personal journal somewhat separate from this one, and I don't have too much time online anyway. (For any friends wondering how I expect to manage this and pass classes...I need to do something to try and maintain sanity.)

I have a great deal of preliminary research on my major project this semester due Sunday, a major paper due next Friday, and various and sundry other assignments that need to be completed in the intervening period. So if this piece comes off as a trifle bleak and fatalistic, my apologies.

There's a lot of stuff I'd like to write, but I'm having trouble getting started, so I'm borrowing this challenge from musyc in an effort to get unblocked. Comment with a character or pairing from one of my fandoms and an object, and I'll write you a ficlet (somewhere between 100-500 words, unless I'm feeling really inspired). I won't do ASOIaF, but any of the following are fair game: Harry Potter, Discworld, Star Trek (all variations other than DS9), Shakespeare, Greek/Roman mythology, West Wing, Nolanverse Batman, Buffy, Dr. Horrible, and various other musicals. If you'd like something not on the list that you think I might know, feel free to ask, and I'll try to oblige.

Speaking of Star Trek, does anyone know of any good sources of reboot!gen fic? The various kink memes have been surprisingly enjoyable, but I guess an Andorian can't change her antennae.
