There's a lot of stuff I'd like to write, but I'm having trouble getting started, so I'm borrowing this challenge from [personal profile] musyc in an effort to get unblocked. Comment with a character or pairing from one of my fandoms and an object, and I'll write you a ficlet (somewhere between 100-500 words, unless I'm feeling really inspired). I won't do ASOIaF, but any of the following are fair game: Harry Potter, Discworld, Star Trek (all variations other than DS9), Shakespeare, Greek/Roman mythology, West Wing, Nolanverse Batman, Buffy, Dr. Horrible, and various other musicals. If you'd like something not on the list that you think I might know, feel free to ask, and I'll try to oblige.

Speaking of Star Trek, does anyone know of any good sources of reboot!gen fic? The various kink memes have been surprisingly enjoyable, but I guess an Andorian can't change her antennae.

Old memes never die...right?

Okay, so while I'm working on new material (I do have some already completed stories that fit the requests I've gotten, which I'll post shortly), I thought I'd take the opportunity to do a more in-depth introduction to my fandoms by taking some of those memes I couldn't take on LJ because I either hadn't written enough at the time or didn't want to bore my non-fandom friends. Except that everyone else has moved on ages ago, and now I can't find them. :( I'm looking for the one that characterizes fandoms in terms of romantic relationships (soulmate, one-night stand, occasional fling, etc.), but I can't remember the questions well enough to reconstruct it (and I remember they were funny questions, too!). Anyone still have it, or have other suggestions?

Also, does this paragraph have enough parentheses in it yet?
