What the hell. This one's borrowed from
musyc:
Pick one of my fics, and I'll give you three details that didn't make it into the fic. Background canon, deleted scenes, or a look into the future. My choice, but if you have a specific question you can ask it in your request.
Unfortunately, I don't have a master list (should probably fix that, shouldn't I?), but you can browse through my Ao3 collection here.

1. I don't have deleted scenes for this fic. I have added scenes, because Tom was not originally a part of this thing at all. I knew I wanted Helena to enter Cadogan's painting and not have it work out the way she wanted, but I didn't know how she was going to get the inspiration that would allow her to try, and then the whole diadem plot fell into place. And I am so glad it did, if for no other reason than I am really proud of coming up with those spells he casts during the confrontation.
2. Another thing that surprised me (still does) was how sympathetic I wound up toward the Baron. I think by the time they met while they were alive, Helena had dealt with a lot of suitors who just wanted her as a means of access to her mother and she was too jaded to trust him. If the timing had been better, or things hadn't gone horribly wrong the night of the murder, maybe they could have worked it out. But of course, Helena blames him not only for her death but for ensuring she died in an emotional state where she couldn't choose to be at peace, and so he has to spend the rest of eternity dealing with the fact she'll never forgive him.
3. Part of me wants to sit down and figure out the story of how Cadogan and Llwellyn met up (I'm guessing it wasn't too long after Cadogan fled the monastery, and Llwellyn took him on as a squire out of charity), but it's way down my list of plot bunnies. Maybe I'll turn them over to John. He's good with slightly deranged but well-intentioned knights. :p
Feel free to ask more; I'm guessing I'm not going to get a huge response here.
